Our favorite place to stay

We just finished our 3rd wonderful stay. My grandsons and I love these accommodations. My favorite thing to do is sit on the balcony/lanai any and all times of the day. The boys love taking the boogie boards (in the lanai closet) to the beach (just down the stairs and across the street). The kitchen is fully stocked. The Murphy bed is very comfortable to sleep on and so easy to take down and put up. I will be returning this January! Mahalo

Perfect !

This unit in building 10 was exactly as advertised and absolutely perfect for our stay. The deck was awesome and one of the larger ones (the small ones are very tiny!).the place was well equipped with everything we needed - kitchen -linens and beach towels etc. There were lots of fans everywhere which kept the unit nice and cool. There was a portable a/c in the bedroom but we found we didn’t need it. We’ve stayed at Kamaole Sands several times and it never disappoints. The grounds and pool are always in great shape and you can’t beat the location . We would definitely rent this unit again .

An overall satisfactory stay.

This beautiful, CLEAN, furnished, well-stocked, and comfortable condo was just what I needed for my Maui trip. It was a narrow little place suitable for a couple or small family. It had a lovely bedroom with a stylish functioning bathroom and comfortable bed with clean sheets and comforter. The living room had a good looking and sturdy murphy bed if needed, a comfortable stylish couch with a couple chairs. All smooth shiny tile. The kitchen was clean, functional, very well-stocked with cookware and cooking ingredients and condiments probably left by previous tenants, and the fridge was modern with working and spacious freezer. One other big plus of this place was it's building's- (the most requested building of the complex) convenience to the private code-access gate. It was directly across from K beach park III, and a few blocks walk from the nearest restaurant. I also really liked the complex' sense of security, like having a key-pad operated gate for cars and people via an access code, and the door the condo required keyless code which was given to me by the managers just before I arrived there. I loved this new method of condo access as it gave me less to worry about like holding and possibly losing a key. Now the minus: the lanai was decent and clean, but the other people around can be a problem. The lanais were built so if you walk to the railing you can see everyone around you and they can see you from their lanais, like a big community setting. Some may not mind it, others like me value privacy more and did not care for such an intrusive, boxed-in feeling. You are a few feet from the water fountains that run loudly from 9 AM - 9 PM, which may be good to blanket some of the noise of people nearby, but you'll have to stand the noise from the early mornings through the evenings. Fortunately most people seem to respect the quiet hours of 10 PM - 8 AM. Another unfortunate item about the condwas the treeline from the K beach Park was BLOCKING the famous Maui water view. No sunset and no west side view much. Just a view of the courtyard, the northern complexes and the road. Overall, this was a good place for me and I may consider staying at KS again, but I would look at other places in Kihei, perhaps something on the top floors to avoid that uncomfortable boxed-in feeling. Also, big props to Jim & Sandy for impressively managing and maintaining a classy stylish Maui condo. You helped make my visit to Maui a good one.

A Home Away from Home

Sandi and Jim's condo has everything anyone could need for a wonderful vacation. It's a very warmly decorated home, with a full stocked kitchen. The bed was very comfortable, and there were plenty of towels for beach and everyday use. It was easy to access and the staff at the main office was very friendly and helpful at check in. I can't say enough good things about this listing. Thank you for a great holiday!!!

Aloha spirit on Kam III Beach!

Three adults and four young children found the unit comfortable and clean -- there are pull-out sofas and a murphy bed which made it easy for the kids to pile up like they were having an overnight party, leaving the two bedrooms for the adults. There was plenty of bedding for everyone. The kitchen is well-stocked with equipment and the property BBQs are right downstairs and super convenient. There were plenty of condiments left by previous guests, in some rentals I've noticed housekeeping takes the leftover stuff and then we have to buy everything all over again. Thanks to Carol for leaving the condiments! There was plenty of seating for our group of seven, with two sofas and various comfortable chairs as well as a dining room table. The lanai is on the smaller side, but located right over the property's ponds and fountain, and so has a lovely view. I spent a lot of time out there listening to the mynah birds! The unit has very comfortable beds and good quality bedding, which I appreciated very much. It was also quiet and except for another guest who was smoking somewhere nearby, it was a great place to hang out in between beach and pool activities. The owner, Sandi, and her property manager, Carol, were very concerned about the smoker and did everything they could to get property staff to find the culprit (they will be gone by now, so don't worry about smoke -- it was a guest, not a condo owner). Overall, this problem was abated by turning on fans but I appreciated that Sandi was easy to contact and is so helpful. Overall, it's a HUGE benefit when the property owner is so communicative and helpful and I would rent from them again in a heartbeat. There are air conditioners in both bedrooms (much appreciated) and a central unit in the living room that works on a timer, which is very convenient. However, there is a great cross breeze if the front door and lanai door are opened and we were comfortable with just that most of the time. This unit is a stone's throw from Kam III which is one of the nicer beaches, and it was so convenient - we were so glad to be close to the front of the property as it made it very easy to get to the beach. There are also beach supplies on the lanai, and plenty of beach towels. Sandi, Mahalo for your kindness, being such a responsive condo owner and being so friendly - I hope to be back soon!

Awesome Family Vacation

Our family of 5 had a wonderful time staying in this unit, and at this property overall. This unit has plenty of space, is very comfortable, and was easily kept cool during the hot summer weather. The owner was very responsive to our questions, and very helpful with suggestions for activities in the area. The grounds of the property are beautiful, and everything was well maintained. The location of this unit is directly across the street from the beach, and we were able to snorkel and swim with turtles every day! Also, there are great restaurants and shopping, all within walking distance. We had an amazing time, and look forward to staying here again in the future.

Awesome location!

This condo truly does have an excellent location with a huge balcony and an ocean view. In addition, it is directly across from the lovely Kamaole III beach...a perfect beach for families and also those who want quiet reading time too....there's lots of space for all. As I sat on the beach late yesterday afternoon, I received quite the show with three whales breaching and diving for over 10 minutes. My husband loves to cook and the condo was really well supplied with bowls, measuring cups, strainers, pots and pans and full dish sets for entertaining. I could not think of anything that was missing. You will get great sleeps here too as the building is made of concrete so you can't hear units above, below or beside. The complex really ensures it is quiet after 10:00. The common areas of the complex like the pool and the grounds are meticulously maintained. Thank you Sandi for letting us enjoy your home away from home!

This place came recommended by my neighbor who stays here frequently, and I am so thankful for her recommendation. It was my friend and I’s first trip to Hawaii, and we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. Booking with Sandi was easy and she is very responsive. You can tell she cares about her guests and she provided great recommendations and info to us of things to do in Maui. The condo was amazing and we had everything that we needed and then some! The bed and furniture were really comfortable and it truly felt like home away from home while in Maui. The lanai is a dream and we spent many evenings out there watching the sunsets.
